Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and current ARRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications for a teaching Level I Trauma facility.
Responsibilities
- Work in a short-term acute care, teaching hospital with Level I Trauma designation
- Primary assignment in the Cath Lab with potential to float to an outpatient Cath Lab or affiliate locations as needed
- Adult patient population in cardiac interventional and electrophysiology cases
- Exposure to structural heart procedures and EP cases is preferred
- Uses MacLab, Xper, and Cerner EMR systems; Cerner experience is preferred
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call required: 18 days of call over 8 weeks
- Weekend shifts required as needed
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Scrubs are provided in the Cath Lab
- Candidates are expected to adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration protocols
- Must be comfortable potentially floating to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed
- Return travelers must have at least 12 months since previous employment at this health system and must not have canceled a previous contract within 10 days of starting
- RTO exceeding 5 days or holidays requires unit manager approval; no time off allowed during the first week of assignment due to orientation
- Candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment overlaps holiday dates

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years Cath Lab Technologist experience
- Current ARRT certification required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Ability and willingness to float to other areas based on skill set
- License required if applicable
