American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and ACLS certification.
Responsibilities- Work in an adult Emergency Department in a hospital setting
- Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend shifts required as part of the schedule
- Role involves caring for patients with a range of health issues from simple to complex
- Responsible for assigned patient group and complete nursing documentation
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Initiate and monitor IV infusions and administer medications and blood products
- Interact with patients and families to communicate care plans and hospital procedures
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Active OK or multistate compact RN license required
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Minimum of one year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Applicants must live outside a 50 mile radius from the facility
