Job DescriptionThe Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (RN) will work in a specialized unit caring for patients with cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, amputations, spinal cord injuries, and other neurological conditions. The RN will collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and support for patients undergoing rehabilitation.
- Work collaboratively with a team that includes a physiatrist, nurse practitioners, therapists, and social workers.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct patient education and assist with discharge planning.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; at least 1 year in a rehabilitation specialty preferred.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- WV or Compact RN License required; pending licenses may be accepted if active by the start date.
- Previous charge nurse experience is preferred.
