Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with both labor and postpartum experience required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery department
- Unit has 14 LDRPs and 2 Operating Rooms
- Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2 for Labor & Delivery and 3:1 for Postpartum according to AWHONN guidelines
- Uses Beacon equipment and EMRs CPN and Meditech
- Night shift position with hours from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Unit performs versions, C-sections, vaginal assisted deliveries, and D&Cs
- Team includes charge RNs, L&D RNs, postpartum RNs, CNAs, and sitters
- Flexible, adaptable, and professional demeanor is strongly preferred
- Documentation required includes a complete application, skills checklist, references, state license verification, NURSYS verification, and copies of relevant certifications
- Unit policies and guidelines will be reviewed during orientation
Requirements
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Postpartum experience required
- LDRP experience preferred
- AHA or ARC-approved certifications required, with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment
- U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
