Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced GI Lab Scrub Technician for a contract assignment supporting an active Endoscopy/GI Lab. The ideal candidate is skilled in scrubbing endoscopic procedures, adaptable to variable shifts, and comfortable participating in on-call coverage as required.
Contract & Schedule Details- Assignment Length: 13-week contract
- Hours: Typically scheduled 40 hours per week (may be reduced to 32 hours during holiday weeks)
- Shifts: Variable based on department needs
- Department operating hours range from early morning through late evening
- On-Call: Required
- Call coverage averages 1–2 times per week
- Up to 2 weekends per month
- 20-minute callback time
- Holiday Coverage: Required
- Scrub independently for endoscopy procedures
- Assist with room turnover and cleaning between cases
- Transport patients as needed
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control standards
- Collaborate with nursing, physicians, and GI lab staff to support efficient case flow
- Endoscopy procedures
- Active Hawaii license required by start of assignment
- Travelers without an active HI license must apply upon offer acceptance
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience scrubbing cases in a hospital setting
- Ability to work variable shifts and participate in call rotation
- BLS / BCLS
- EPIC EMR
- Must arrive prior to assignment start to complete employee health clearance, if required
