• Coverage Period: ASAP 10/01/2025 (with possibility of extension)
• Clinical Shift Schedule: 1 5 days/week, preference for 2+ days/week; clinic 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Emergency call coverage as needed
• Call Type: Telephone
• Call Ratio: Shared with residents and attendings

COVERAGE DATES
• Start date: ASAP
• Through October 1, 2025 (possibility of extension)

• Patient Demographics: Pediatric only (under 12 years old)
• Patient Volume/Census: patients/day in clinic; 5 6 cases/day in OR
• Phone Consults: Yes (emergency call)
• Case Mix: Routine and advanced pediatric dental procedures

• Trauma Level: Level I
• EMR System: Open Dental / Cerner
• Office Equipment Available: OR and ASC dental surgical equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Attending dentists, CRNAs, anesthesiologists
• Support Staff Available: Dental assistant (in OR)

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (Full, Temp, Emergency)
• Credentialing Timeline: 6 8 weeks

TRAVEL & LODGING
• Travel, Lodging and Malpractice covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Extractions
• Full-mouth restorations (multiple crowns)
• Tooth abscess drainage
• Supervision of residents during dental cleanings, cavities, and routine care

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Pennsylvania license (may apply without at time of submission)
• Board: Board Certified in Pediatric Dentistry (general dentists not accepted)
• DEA: Not required
• Certifications: ACLS, PALS
• Experience: Minimum 1 year; prior hospital experience not required
• Other Qualifications: Sedation license preferred; surgical and trauma experience preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise residents and provide direct care in pediatric dental clinic
• Perform advanced pediatric dental procedures
• Participate in emergency call coverage if requested
• Collaborate with attending dentists, residents, CRNAs, and anesthesiologists
