Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic experience and Epic charting proficiency for a day shift position.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room within a hospital setting
- Heavy focus on orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery cases
- Circulating duties across multiple specialties with an emphasis on orthopedics
- Three 12-hour day shifts with block scheduling available
- Rotating weekends and call coverage required
- Uses Epic EMR; prior Epic experience preferred
- No travel pairs or groups are accepted for this position
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify
- Former permanent staff must have been gone for at least 1 year before being considered as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be auto-approved; no time off permitted during the first week of orientation
- First-time travelers will be considered based on unit needs
- Holiday coverage may be required per department schedule
Requirements
- Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of 1 year recent OR RN experience required; 1-2 years strongly preferred
- Significant orthopedic circulating experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Epic charting experience preferred
