Engagement Objectives:
- Define, design, and deploy new security roles and controls that enable and regulate the execution of financial activities on the new SAP S/4 platform:
- Collaborate with engineering (IT), finance, and internal financial controls teams to define, design, test, and deploy new finance SAP S/4 security roles.
- Collaborate with SAP S/4 Program Management (PMO) team to plan and coordinate work activities with all SAP S/4 workstream teams.
- Ensure segregation-of-duty controls related to SAP S/4 Fiori apps, SAP GUI transactions, etc., are identified, defined, and activated within SAP GRC.
- Ensure SAP S/4 critical action business processes, Fiori apps, SAP GUI transactions, etc., are identified - and - that corresponding controls are activated within SAP GRC.
- Consult finance teams to identify end-user assignments for each new SAP S/4 security role.
- Coordinate with SAP security team to build the new SAP S/4 security roles.
- Coordinate with SAP security team to activate new SAP S/4 SOD, critical action, etc., controls within SAP GRC.
- Coordinate with SAP security team to assign users to the new SAP S/4 security roles.
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, financial controls, and SAP security teams to create user acceptance test (UAT) cases and UAT sign-off criteria.
- Collaborate with engineering, finance, financial controls teams, and SAP security teams to plan and execute SAP S/4 security role UAT and resolve UAT issues.
- Confirm and smoke test the release of new SAP S/4 security roles, GRC controls, user role assignments, etc., to the SAP S/4 production environment.
- Assist in providing production release hyper-care support and bug remediation.
- Assist with creating training materials, delivering training sessions, etc.
- Document and protect all artifacts related to the SAP S/4 security workstream.
- SAP S/4 security design subject matter expert on at least 1 large-scale, multi-module, SAP S/4 finance project.
- 2-3 years’ experience designing, testing, and deploying SAP S/4 security roles for SAP S/4 finance
processes enabled by Fiori apps, and SAP GUI transactions. - Experience defining and implementing finance SOD, critical action, etc., controls in SAP GRC.
- Experience creating test cases and executing SAP S/4 security role and SAP GRC user acceptance testing.
- Thorough understanding of finance end-to-end business processes, including Record-to-Report, General Ledger Accounting, Allocations, Period Close, Consolidated Reporting, and Statutory Reporting with the ability to credibly engage with Finance business stakeholders to align security and role design decisions with real operational process flows.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4 best practice and real world security role design alternatives for finance.
- Advanced understanding of SAP S/4 finance Fiori apps and SAP GUI transactions - and - how each are enabled by security roles.
- Advanced understanding of SAP S/4 security role structures, authorization objects, authorization restrictions, etc.
- Working knowledge of SAP GRC control capabilities and mechanisms.
- Detailed understanding of SAP security transactions and their usage (e.g. SUIM, SU01D, SU22, SU24, SE16, etc.) as well as the underlying SAP security table structures.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across multiple project teams to deliver results within aggressive timelines.
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with advanced understanding of SAP S/4 finance Fiori apps and SAP GUI transactions - and - how each are enabled by security roles.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience with in-depth knowledge of SAP S/4 best practice and real-world security role design alternatives for finance.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience with a thorough understanding of finance end-to-end business processes (including Record-to-Report, General Ledger Accounting, Allocations, Period Close, Consolidated Reporting, and Statutory Reporting with the ability to credibly engage with Finance business stakeholders to align security and role design decisions with real operational process flows.)
