The Quality Inspector performs daily inspections on electrical and mechanical aerospace components, ensuring compliance with manufacturing and design specifications. They document defects, support engineering teams in issue resolution, and assist in FAA conformity inspections. The role requires expertise in inspection tools, quality standards, blueprint reading, and experience with aerospace quality planning processes like APQP and AS9102.
TRC is looking for several Quality Inspectors with Electrical or Mechanical experience for one of out Aerospace and Aviation clients based out of San Jose, CA. This position is a long-term contract roles based onsite with plenty of opportunity for overtime!

● Execute daily inspections for receiving, in process and final inspections which m include, but not limited to, electrical components, electronic assemblies, and PCBs for defects or deviations from design specification
● Accurately and clearly document defects or non conformances and collaborate with engineering or manufacturing teams to resolve issues
● Review completed manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with Archer requirements
● Review and provide input for the establishment of an aircraft inspection plan which can include inspection and testing of harnesses
● Assist in the planning and process for company inspection which may include FAA conformity inspection to support the certification process
● Support the development and roll out of Advanced Product Quality Planning techniques such as PFMEAs, control plans and SPC
What you need
● High School Diploma or equivalent required
● Certified or ability to certify to IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-6
● 5+ years’ hands on experience using basic inspection tools such as microscopes, thread gauges, pin gauges, micrometers, calipers, height master and height gauge
● Experience with tolerance and drawing reviews including assessing the ability to verify dimensional requirements
● Ability to read and interpret quality control specifications, blueprint drawings an engineering specification including mechanical and electrical symbols a convention, key, critical, major and minor characteristics
● Experience completing AS9102 compliant first article inspections with working knowledge of the tools required for inspection
● Experience with MES systems such as SAP and utilizing electronic inspection plans
● Understanding types of measurement, measurement terminology
