Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with night shifts and a requirement for recent high-risk OB experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes laboring mothers, including high-risk obstetrics
- Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 12-hour shifts
- 36-hour workweek over a 13-week assignment
- Previous permanent employees must wait 6 months before being eligible for travel assignments
- No radius rule; local and travel rates are the same
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Candidates must be able to provide two references and license verification
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of California
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- At least 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent L&D experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- Preferred: Five years of recent experience within the last two years in Labor & Delivery
- Preferred: One year of recent high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two years
