Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in a busy trauma center requiring a KS or compact RN license and AHA certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 16-bay Surgery Recovery Holding unit within a level 1 trauma center
- Care for cardiothoracic, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, burn, pediatric, and general surgical patients
- Position involves phase 1 post-anesthesia recovery responsibilities
- Rotating 8-hour evening shifts from 14:30 to 23:00, Monday through Saturday
- Rotating night, weekend, and holiday call required
- Will provide recovery care for a diverse post-surgical patient population in a level 1 trauma setting
- Requires flexibility to participate in call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays
- 2 professional references, skills checklist, and copy of driver’s license are required for consideration
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate in accordance with facility radius rules
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Current AHA PALS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- MOAB De-Escalation Training required
- Minimum one year of PACU or relevant recovery care experience
- Primary source license verification and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- Candidates must possess a US Social Security Number and US home address
