RN First Assistants are responsible for the following:
- Provide patient care and support before and after the surgery.
- Prepares all surgical tools and supplies needed for procedures.
- Practice surgical procedures that include controlling bleeding, draping, etc.
The RN First Assistant is a registered nurse who assists the surgeon by monitoring the patient during procedures and by providing nursing care during a specific time period.
Varying Shifts: Potential for Days/Evenings 8/10/12hrs Qualifications for this position include:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state of Pennsylvania
- RN, BSN degree required
- RNFA certificate required
- CNOR required
- BCLS/ACLS certifications required
- 2+ years as RNFA; Robotic/Laparoscopic experience preferred
