Job Details:
• Work 12-hour day and night shifts every weekend (alternating between one full weekend of days and one full weekend of nights)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week over 13-week contract
• Must be willing to float to Med/Surg as needed
• Optional call opportunities available
• Holiday rotation required
• Work in 7-bed emergency room with average daily volume of 10 patients
• Must function independently in a Critical Access Hospital setting
• Work with mix of physicians and advanced practice providers
• Hospitalist coverage overnight and weekends with CRNA on call
• Required certifications: Iowa RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NRP
• Minimum 2-3+ years of emergency department experience required
• Preceptor/Charge experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Associate degree or certificate required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• No specific scrub color requirements
• Billing Monday through Sunday
• Must start medical compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer

This Critical Access Hospital provides essential emergency and medical services to the rural community. The facility features a 7-bed emergency department that serves an average of 10 patients daily, staffed by a collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers. The hospital maintains 24/7 emergency services with hospitalist coverage during nights and weekends, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The organization utilizes EPIC electronic health records and provides both emergency and medical/surgical services to meet diverse patient needs.
