Med/Surg Tele RN – Neurosurgical & Surgical Unit (M5 / McClure 5)
Unit: M5 / McClure 5 – Neurosurgical & Surgical
Schedule: Days and nights per unit needs (Monday–Sunday)
Weekends: Minimum every other weekend (schedule may adjust based on patient care needs)
Floating: No
EMR:Epic (experience within last 2 years required)
This role supports a neurosurgical and surgical Med/Surg Telemetry unit caring for complex post-operative and neurologic patients. The ideal candidate has strong telemetry skills, experience in large teaching hospitals, and is comfortable managing higher-acuity surgical and neuro populations.
Required Experience- Prior travel experience required
- 2+ years recent Med/Surg Tele experience (unit-specific)
- Experience in a large, teaching hospital (required)
- Strong neuro and surgical patient management skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules based on unit needs
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – required prior to start
- No block scheduling permitted
- Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- All work history must clearly list:
- Facility name
- Bed count
- EMR used
- Facility type
