Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level I trauma operating room with ortho and neuro surgery experience and 12-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Level I trauma OR with 25 operating suites in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric cases
- Specialties and procedures include general, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology, oncology, robotic, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and sports medicine
- Uses specialized equipment such as ROSA, Si and Xi daVinci robots, stealth, O-Arm, and HIPEC systems
- Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p) with call and weekend rotation
- Call rotation and weekend rotation are required with staff
- Holiday work required—must work one holiday per 13-week contract
- No local candidates accepted
- Must be able to perform both circulating and scrubbing roles in the OR
- Team includes 24/7 onsite nursing coverage and multidisciplinary surgical teams
- Exposure to advanced technology and complex trauma care
- All time off requests must be included at the time of application

- Must provide copies of driver’s license and social security card for consideration
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required; pending license accepted only for candidates with a single-state, non-compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Circulate and scrub experience required, including total joints, craniotomies/neuro, and orthopedic trauma
- Orthopedic and neuro surgery experience required
- Two professional references needed for consideration
