The Nurse Practitioner in General Surgery will provide advanced clinical care in both outpatient and operating room settings at a regional acute care hospital. The role involves patient evaluation, collaboration with surgeons, and participation in call rotations within a multidisciplinary team. St. Joseph s Regional Medical Center is actively recruiting a Nurse Practitioner General Surgery to join our established team. As a 145-bed general acute care hospital, we are the largest full-service regional medical center between Boise, Idaho, and Spokane, Washington. With a Level III Trauma Center and more than 100 board certified physicians and providers in both primary care and specialty disciplines, we deliver advanced-level specialty healthcare to ensure every patient, and their loved ones, have everything they need to feel comforted, every step of their journey.
About the position:
- Clinic Hours: Monday- Friday
- General Schedule- days per week 4 10 s? 5 8 s?: 36 patient contact hours and 4 hours admin
- Call: call rotation with assigned provider
- Average # of patients seen per day: 10-15
- Department staff -# of providers and support: 5 physicians, 1 NP, 1 RN, 1 LPN, 2 MAs
- Clinic days per week: 2-3
- OR days per week: 2-3
Qualifications:
- Completion a graduate-level APRN/NP program
- Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of ID and DEA with full prescriptive authority
- First Assist certification not required; OR responsibilities are supported through hospital privileging and surgeon collaboration.
- At least one year of experience preferred
