Hourly Rate: $200
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated general surgeon to join our team as a locum for various locations in and around Duluth, GA. This position offers outpatient medicine with no call responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in bread-and-butter general surgery and be comfortable performing a variety of procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinic visits and perform port insertions
- Provide excellent patient care and maintain high-quality standards
- Perform in-office procedures such as port removals, lipoma removals, melanoma removals, cyst removals, etc.
- Conduct consults and follow-up visits
- Manage an average of 18 patients per day in the clinic
- Adhere to appointment lengths of 50 minutes for procedure visits and 25 minutes for regular appointments
- Collaborate with our medical team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain a clinic schedule from 8:05 am to 4:50 pm
Port Insertions:
- Assist in covering port insertions primarily at GW (with occasional coverage at TP)
- Port appointment lengths are approximately 60 minutes
- Expectation of performing 2 half days of port insertions per week
Qualifications:
- Board certification or eligibility in general surgery
- Valid medical license in the state of Georgia
- Strong clinical skills and expertise in general surgery procedures
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
