The Fab Operator is responsible for setting up production equipment, performing quality checks on products, and ensuring efficient and safe operations during their shift. They handle data entry to track product movement and may train temporary staff to maintain productivity. The role requires teamwork, adherence to safety policies, and flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
Starting pay is $21.36/hr with an increase to $23.73/hr after successful training plus $0.35 shift differential
Paid weekly plus annual bonus
AVAILABLE SHIFT:
Night Shift 6:40pm to 5:10am
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up of Production Equipment including blades.
Data entry in the computer to move product through the system.
Ensure a high-quality product is coming off the machine by conducting quality checks to ensure required slit positions, depth, dimensions, labeling, and packaging.
Train and direct temporary employees when needed.
Work to continuously improve set up time, speed, and waste.
Follow all safety rules and policies, make suggestions to improve safety and look out for fellow employees' safety.
Assist other departments as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED.
Some industrial experience.
Works well in a team environment.
Available to work either day or night shift.
Must be able to work overtime as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience operating corrugated printing equipment.
Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment, with an understanding that temperatures and volumes
