Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric CVICU night shift position requiring at least one year of pediatric cardiac ICU experience and a current OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Position is in the Cardiac Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital
- Care for pediatric patients with simple to complex cardiovascular conditions
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- No on-call duties mentioned

- 50-mile radius rule applies—candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in the CVICU setting
- Collaborate closely with physicians during examinations and minor procedures
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed
- Document patient responses and update care plans as needed
- Interact with patients and families regarding care plans and hospital procedures
- Assignment extension limited to a maximum of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month break before reapplying
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma or compact multistate RN license required
- Minimum of one year of pediatric ICU or CVICU experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Current certifications required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and PALS
- Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills needed
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
- Some computer skills required
