Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 3x12 schedule with every other weekend required
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Med Surg/Telemetry and telemetry experience required
• Experience with surgical cases required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must have compact license or MD license
• Two supervisor references required
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, chest tube management, PCA pumps, IV management, wound care, tracheostomy care, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Care for patients with diabetes, CHF, infections, COPD, surgical cases, and general medicine conditions
• Work with interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Self-scheduling system
• One pre-approved time off request allowed
• Average 12 hours of modules to complete pre-start

This healthcare facility features a 44-bed Med Surg Telemetry unit with 34 rooms and a daily census of 32 patients. The facility specializes in caring for patients across all age groups and offers comprehensive services including a large orthopedic program with total joint procedures, colorectal surgeries, vascular procedures, and bariatric surgery. The unit is equipped with modern technology including patient lifts, telemetry monitoring, capnography, and specialized equipment to support complex patient care needs.
