Position: Psychiatrist - Inpatient or Outpatient

A well-established behavioral health program in East Texas is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist to join its growing team. This role offers the flexibility to practice in a dedicated inpatient behavioral health hospital or to establish an outpatient-only clinic , depending on your preference.
The behavioral health program provides care to patients of all ages , serving a diverse population across East and East Central Texas. The inpatient setting includes both acute psychiatric care and rehabilitative services, while the outpatient option offers continuity of care and long-term patient management.
Key Responsibilities
Perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients across the lifespan
Manage patient care in either an inpatient or outpatient setting (based on provider preference)
Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications tailored to individual needs
Provide follow-up care to ensure patient progress and treatment adherence
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and support staff
Document all encounters accurately in EMR and comply with clinical and regulatory standards
Contribute to quality improvement and best practice initiatives

Qualifications
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
Eligible for Texas medical licensure

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Interest in either inpatient psychiatry, outpatient-only practice, or a combination of both
