Miller Children s and Women s Hospital in sunny Long Beach, California, is seeking a compassionate and skilled full-time BC/BE Neonatologist to join their prestigious Regional Level IV NICU team, offering advanced neonatal care in a collaborative and supportive environment affiliated with the University of California Irvine and Children s Hospital of Orange County.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide expert care to critically ill neonates in a Regional Level IV NICU with an average daily census of 55 patients and 1,400 admissions annually
- Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians, Obstetric Hospitalists, and a wide array of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists
- Participate in advanced neonatal services such as maternal and neonatal transport, whole-body cooling, inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) therapy, palliative care, telemedicine, and a specialized Small Baby Unit
- Engage actively in the NICU s continuous quality improvement (CQI) programs to ensure the highest standards of care
- Contribute to and benefit from an academic environment with integrated residency and fellowship programs
- Support and foster a family-like, collaborative, and supportive work culture focused on impactful patient care and professional development
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Experience post-fellowship
- California Medical License or ability to obtain
- Clean malpractice and medical license history (highly preferred)
- Experience as a Neonatologist
- Willingness to relocate if not currently residing in the area
- DEA registration (must be obtained prior to start)
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- California Medical License or ability to secure one
