We areseeking a Locums OB/GYN Physician to provide in-house coverage at a busycommunity hospital in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. This role offers a variedschedule, strong nursing support, and the opportunity to work closely withOB/GYN residents in a collegial environment.
Compensation : $240Per Hour
PositionDetails - Call Shifts: 3-4 shifts per month
- Scheduling: Completed 1-2 months in advance
- Coverage Model: 100% in-house (no off-site call)
ShiftOptions - Weekdays:
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM
- 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM
- Weekends:
- 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
- 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM
ClinicalResponsibilities - Cover Labor & Delivery floor and ED OB/GYN consults
- Perform gynecologic emergency surgeries as needed
- Manage laboring patients from sign-out through delivery
- Participate in daily nursing huddles and coordinated care
- Work primarily with an OB/GYN resident; physician functions independently
- Nurses may escalate to backup MDs if additional support is required
PatientVolume & Acuity - Average Deliveries: 2-3 per day
- Case Mix: Mostly low-risk with some medium- and high-risk patients
- Nursery Level: Level II
- Gestational Age: Deliveries for patients 32 weeks
Requirements: - Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Comfortable with in-house solo coverage and emergency GYN cases
- Strong collaborative skills with residents and nursing staff
- Active New Jersey medical license (or ability to obtain)
