RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Required to work 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• Must float within Zone 4 covering a 60-mile radius from Garden City, KS
• Float between multiple facilities: Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital (Ulysses), St. Catherine Dodge City, and St. Catherine Garden City
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 based on acuity
• Float across multiple units including General MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
• Care for adult and geriatric populations with various diagnoses including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncology, renal, urology post-surgical, general surgery, gynecology, psych/detox, ENT, and general medicine patients
• Must have 2 years of MS-Tele experience in the last 3 years
• Prior neuro experience preferred
• Alaris and EPIC experience preferred
• Required to titrate heparin drips
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
• May be asked to float to ICU for low acuity holds within skillset, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
• Schedule made by leadership for 6 weeks at a time with flexibility required
• May be included in holiday rotation
• Rare call or standby requirements for low census
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
• Use EPIC charting system
• BSN not required
