Locum Tenens - NP/PA Hybrid Hospitalist / Emergency Medicine

Location: Durand, Wisconsin
Coverage Dates: January 11 - January 18

Clinical Overview

• 24-hour solo coverage at a rural critical access hospital

• Typical workload: 12-15 active hours, remainder on call

• Sleeping accommodations provided on-site or nearby (private room)

• APP will cover both the Emergency Department and inpatient floor

• Low callback volume overnight

Candidate Requirements

• Active Wisconsin license required

• Recent ER and hospitalist experience

• Must be comfortable as sole provider

• Must be proficient in emergency and inpatient procedures, including:

  • Cardioversion

  • Central line placement

  • Chest tube placement

  • EKG interpretation

  • Fracture stabilization

  • Hematoma blocks

  • Incision & drainage

  • IO lines

  • Intubation & RSI

  • Ventilator management

  • Laceration repair

  • Local anesthesia

• Average Daily Encounters: 4-8

• EMR: Epic

• APP Support: None (sole provider)

Schedule

• Shift: Noon to Noon (24-hour coverage)

• Temporary privileges available

• Must already hold an active WI license

• Licensing expedition not available
