American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a home health position providing patient-centered care in a flexible weekday schedule.
Responsibilities- Work with home health patients in the community setting
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm flexible day shifts
- Typical caseload includes approximately 5 one-on-one visits per 8-hour shift
- Serve a diverse adult and geriatric population with neurological, cardiopulmonary, orthopedic, and general deconditioning diagnoses
- Clinicians use laptop and phone with cellular data for documentation and communication
- Evaluation, treatment, and documentation are performed independently in patient homes
- Support provided by a fellow OT, rehab supervisor, home health manager, and scheduler
- Tiered onboarding process with one-on-one mentoring from fellow OT
- Can wear scrubs or business casual attire
- Up to 7 days of approved time off (not around holidays) is allowed
- First-time travelers may be considered for the right fit
- References from a supervisor or higher are required prior to start
- Current state OT license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience required
- Current CPR certification required
- Ability to autonomously evaluate and treat patients in their homes
- Willingness to drive between patient locations as needed
