American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of experience and MN OT license for an inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation role supporting orthopedic, neuro, and acute care patients.
Responsibilities- Work in a regional hospital rehab setting with both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic, neurological, and acute care caseloads
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Acute care responsibilities comprise at least 30% of the caseload
- Supports a small outpatient hand therapy component
- Collaboration with a team of 7 Physical Therapists and 1 Speech-Language Pathologist
- Will float within scope to other units or nearby facilities as needed
- Epic (Excellian) is used for charting; prior experience preferred
- No weekend or on-call responsibilities
- A minimum 13-week contract assignment
- Provide therapy services to a wide range of patient diagnoses including orthopedic, neurologic, and acute medical cases
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary rehab team
- No weekend coverage required
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Applicants with more than 5 days of requested time off may not be considered
- Free parking available in unrestricted south lot
- Applicants who have worked as permanent staff at this facility must be gone at least 3 months from their last shift to be eligible
- Current MN Occupational Therapist license required (pending license accepted; license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of recent OT experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Experience with outpatient orthopedics, neuro, and acute care populations
- One supervisor reference required for consideration
- Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
