A growing plastics manufacturing company is seeking a Molding Manager to lead daily injection molding operations and help strengthen performance across the plant. This role will be responsible for supporting multi shift production, improving process consistency, reducing scrap, and driving accountability within the molding department. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands on molding experience, proven leadership in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to troubleshoot and improve processes on the floor.


Injection Molding Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead daily molding department operations across multiple shifts
  • Own staffing, scheduling, shift priorities, and department performance
  • Monitor production output, scrap, run rates, and workflow efficiency
  • Troubleshoot molding process issues and help improve setup consistency and uptime
  • Partner with maintenance, engineering, quality, and production leadership to drive performance
  • Train, coach, and develop team members while reinforcing safety and process discipline

Injection Molding Manager Qualifications

  • 10+ years of injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in molding, plastics, or production operations
  • Strong hands on process troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
  • Experience managing multi shift teams and driving accountability
  • Background in automotive or other high volume regulated manufacturing environments is strongly preferred
  • Experience with continuous improvement, reporting, and production metrics is highly valued
