Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, insures the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication-related problems through intervention with the physician. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, regulatory standards, in executing job responsibilities.Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:
Pharmacy Services:
Oversee the preparation, labeling, dispensing, and delivery of medications.
Review and verify medication orders for appropriate dosing, scheduling, route, and potential interactions.
Identify and resolve medication-related issues through direct collaboration with physicians.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Prioritize daily tasks to meet patient and departmental needs.
Provide drug information and education to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Respond to complex medication inquiries and reactions from clinical staff.
Practice Medication Therapy Services through patient assessments and therapy recommendations.
Training & Development:
Participate in orientation and training for pharmacists, technicians, residents, and students.
Engage in ongoing professional development and educational activities.
Foster a collaborative environment by welcoming feedback and contributing to team goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a School or College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
Licensure:
Current pharmacist license from applicable State Board of Pharmacy
Experience:
Previous retail experience preferred but not required
