A licensed Optometrist providing comprehensive eye care including routine and urgent eye exams, diagnosis and treatment of vision problems, and prescription of corrective lenses and medications. Responsible for pre- and post-operative care, patient education, and coordination with other health professionals in a team-based, patient-centered environment. Seeking a compassionate Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care in a collaborative, patient-centered setting. Responsibilities include routine and urgent eye exams, diagnosing and treating vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses or medications, and coordinating care with other health professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform eye exams and diagnose vision issues or eye conditions. Prescribe glasses, contacts, and medications. Provide pre- and post-operative eye care. Refer patients to specialists when needed. Maintain accurate patient records. Support patient education and preventive care
Qualifications:
Doctor of Optometry (OD), Licensed or eligible for licensure in Maine, Board Certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, Valid driver s license and ability to travel between sites, Community health experience preferred
