Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring a MA RN license, BLS, PALS, and at least two years of PICU experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in a hospital setting
- Day/night rotating shifts with three 12-hour shifts per week
- Every third weekend and holiday rotation required
- Care for critically ill pediatric patients
- Responsibilities include providing advanced nursing care to pediatric patients in critical condition
- Mandatory pass/fail clinical testing during orientation; failure to pass will result in assignment cancellation
- Pre-start and orientation modules are required and tracked through Workday
- Holiday and weekend coverage is part of the regular schedule
- Candidates with prior issues on their nursing license will not be considered
- Third-party education verification is required for all applicants
Requirements
- Active MA RN license in hand
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum two years of PICU nursing experience required
- Must submit two references, with one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Must pass a Telemetry EKG exam during orientation with a minimum score of 80%
- Candidates must live at least 200 miles from the facility for consideration
