Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Patient ratio of 1:5 across all shifts
• 2 years of nursing experience required with previous charge and teaching hospital experience preferred
• 8 weekend shifts required in 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring
• Experience required with post-cardiac procedures, IV insulin protocols, feeding tube management, hemodialysis management
• Competency needed in blood product administration, central line care, PICC line management, starting IVs
• Must manage heparin protocols, cardiac drips, PCA, procedural sedation administration
• Experience with chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy management required
• Floating may be required between departments, units and facilities as needed
• Must hold both Kansas and Missouri nursing licenses or compact license
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days request time off allowed
• Epic charting system experience required
• 12 hours of orientation provided
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• First-time travelers accepted
