Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Milwaukee, WI
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• Holiday Coverage: Required
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-Site
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,760 - $1,890

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Wisconsin or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required prior to first shift
• Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred)
• Experience in Med/Surg, Same Day Surgery, Detox, Bone Marrow Transplant, Mental Health, or IDD is a plus

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical hospital setting
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in electronic health records
• Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences and patient rehabilitation programs
• Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education from admission
• Promote patient and employee safety by adhering to hospital safety policies
• Train and supervise ancillary healthcare staff
• Communicate effectively with physicians, charge nurses, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain a positive, efficient work environment through teamwork and resourcefulness
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education
