This role is ideal for a mission-driven oncology expert passionate about expanding access, elevating quality, and growing an integrated regional cancer program across the Kansas City metro area.Role Overview:The Executive Medical Director will provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for cancer services across the Mid-America Region, which includes four hospitals and multiple cancer clinics throughout the Kansas City area.Key Responsibilities : - Strategic Leadership: Drive the continued regional expansion and performance of cancer services, ensuring clinical excellence and cohesive operations across all sites. - Program Development: Strengthen and grow the oncology service line, including infusion, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, and subspecialty programs. - Clinical Integration: Partner with oncology physicians, surgeons, APPs, nurses, and administrative leaders to deliver high-quality, patient-centered, coordinated care. - Academic & Research Advancement: Expand access to clinical trials, support translational research, and cultivate collaborations with national and regional academic partners. - Clinical Practice: Maintain a portion of time in clinical duties aligned with the candidate's oncology subspecialty.Candidate Qualifications: - Ten (10+) years of oncology or related subspecialty clinical practice experience - Demonstrated leadership experience (medical director, service line chief, program leader, etc.) - Proven ability to drive service line growth, multidisciplinary collaboration, and quality improvement - Visionary mindset with strong communication, strategic, and team-building skills - MD or DO with eligibility for Kansas medical licensure
