Addiction Psychiatry in NC Eastern North Carolina 20 miles to the Pamlico Sound 40 miles to Wilson 1 hour to the Albemarle Sound 85 miles to Raleigh and to the Outer Banks Teaching hospital Full-time board eligible/board certified Addiction Medicine Psychiatry Physician or Addiction Medicine Physician at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor. Establishing an Addiction Psychiatric Fellowship Collaborate with other faculty members in conducting clinical research, with the opportunity to initiate projects. Teaching responsibilities include the supervision of medical professionals rotating through the clinical facilities serviced by this position, teaching in the didactic series in the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship once established, adult psychiatry residency, adult psychiatry grand rounds as well as other affiliated lecture needs to further promote and destigmatize the specialty of Addiction treatment Salary and academic rank (tenure track or fixed term) commensurate with experience and academic background Preferred Experience and Skills: Preferred candidate will have completed accredited Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship program Leadership experience in building and expanding substance use disorder services across a health system History of applying for and/or running an addictions psychiatry fellowship Experience in working collaboratively with other mental health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team.
