Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine
Join our team in Houston, IL! We are currently seeking General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Our practice provides crucial support to our nation's Veterans, ensuring they receive the quality care and attention they deserve. This opportunity allows for flexibility with the potential to work from your own office or at a designated facility, accommodating various schedules.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-time, non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based evaluations along with some physical assessments, including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing.
- Complete documentation and submit reports, including any necessary addendums.
- Manage follow-up administrative work and maintain proper records as required.
- Provide exams on a PRN basis, with the option for day (4-hour) or full day (8-hour) shifts.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in METs testing, along with evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Must own a laptop (non-Mac/Apple products).
- Current AANP certification is required.
- Active and unrestricted medical license.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to become DMA certified.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends if desired.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Must provide license number and certification number upon application.
- Active military duty, reserve, or employment status at the VA to be disclosed.
- Provider must have their own office within the specified area for examination purposes.
- Willingness to travel to other locations if necessary.
