What's the Job?
- Lead the management of overall departmental operations, processes, and strategic planning to support institutional goals.
- Serve as a primary resource for staff, faculty, and researchers on policies and procedures, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Develop and present innovative improvement plans to enhance workflow efficiency and promote departmental growth.
- Oversee and approve departmental budgets, including post-award grant expenses and workflows, ensuring financial integrity.
- Support academic administration, faculty processes, and coordinate department events to foster a collaborative environment.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field; Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative experience, including supervising departmental operations and managing budgets.
- Experience with faculty hiring, payroll, and research administration is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to interact effectively at all levels.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and database management at an intermediate level or higher.
