A Physiatry/Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician provides disability examination and evaluation services primarily for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs on a PRN basis. The role involves conducting interview-based assessments, physical testing such as range of motion and muscle strength evaluations, and diagnosing conditions related to neurology, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory health without prescribing treatments. This position requires board certification, proficiency in specific medical testing, and performing remote evaluations with regular administrative follow-up.
Location: A city in North Dakota often referred to as the "Magic City," known for its rapid growth and vibrant community. Offering a mix of historical charm, cultural richness, and modern amenities. This opportunity is available in another part of the state as well.

- Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
- No call or weekends!
- Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties: Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
- Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment: range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
- No prescribing, no treatment
- DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
- Use of Goniometer required
- Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
- Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
- Must own personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops/MACs)
- Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Evaluations to be completed in the provider's portal and records are reviewed.
- Follow up administrative work will be required on a regular basis.
