Licensed for 220 beds, Sovah Health - Martinsville ("Martinsville") is a full service, acute-care hospital that has been at the heart of Martinsville, Henry County and the surrounding region since it opened in June 1970. Formerly known as Memorial Hospital of Martinsville & Henry County, Martinsville united with Danville Regional Medical Center in 2017 to form Sovah Health - a regional delivery healthcare system with two campuses. Today, the Martinsville campus employs over 700 people, has over 100 physicians and allied health professionals and provides over 22 medical specialties.
