Our client in Atwater, CA seeks a dedicated, compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support patient care in the Atwater/Merced, CA area.

Experience as a PTA is preferred, but if you are early in your career with less than a year of experience, you are still encouraged to apply.

POSITION DETAILS:

Local and Travel Pay Package:$1,680 - $2,246 (travel stipends included)
Location: Clients between Chowchilla and Turlock, CA
Assignment Type: Full-time
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week
Transportation: Reliable transportation required. Mileage reimbursed.

DUTIES:

• Assists the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized physical therapy care plans in alignment with the patient’s POC.
• Performs daily treatment interventions to help patients achieve their therapy goals.
• Guides patients through prescribed exercise routines, including passive, assistive, and resistive exercises to improve strength, muscle tone, and range of motion.
• Participates in developing tailored home exercise programs based on patient needs.
• Assists patients with gait training using parallel bars, walkers, crutches, canes, braces, and related assistive devices.
• Performs therapeutic activities such as massage and body mechanics instruction.
• Observes and documents changes in patient condition during treatment.
• Accurately records patient responses and progress in patient charts.
• Refers patients to the supervising PT when reevaluation is indicated.
• Communicates patient progress and treatment effectiveness with the clinical team; may suggest modifications to the treatment plan.
• Participates in staff in-services and education programs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current, active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Reliable transportation
