Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with 2 years of healthcare experience and active MA OT license for a home health float assignment serving diverse Boston neighborhoods.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home occupational therapy services to patients across multiple Boston-area neighborhoods, including Back Bay, Beacon Hill, Cambridge, Charlestown, and more
- Home health setting covering a broad patient age range from pediatric to geriatric
- Day shift, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- Float position with travel required across the North Region service area
- EPIC charting system is used
- Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and allied health professionals to coordinate and deliver care
- Strong customer service and communication skills needed for working with diverse populations
- Must be able to prioritize workload and adapt to changing situations
- Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions permitted
- Public transportation and parking options available; parking not validated and may incur daily costs
- Timekeeping managed through UKG/Kronos system
- Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from central Boston to qualify for standard pay rates
Requirements
- Current, active Massachusetts OT license required; no conditional licenses accepted
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an OT in acute, rehab, or home care settings
- At least 1 year of certified home care experience
- Registration with the MA Board of Registration in Occupational Therapy
- American Heart Association certifications required
- Experience with computer software and handheld patient care devices preferred
- Ability to travel within assigned geographic region
