Single Hospital Coverage with 1:5 call
McLaren Bay Region is recruiting an Orthopedic Surgeon to join our busy employed practice in Bay City, Michigan. This opportunity is to join three established, board-certified Orthopedic Surgeons and three advanced practice providers that provide clinic and OR support. The position offers a high volume of work with providing coverage at our satellite locations in Caro and Bad Axe, Michigan. Shared night/weekend call of 1:5. Clinical practice and hospitals offer Cerner EMR, on-site x-ray and a separate procedure room. Open to candidates with subspecialty fellowship training. Experience with Mako robot a plus. Qualified candidates will be BE/BC.

McLaren Bay Region offers comprehensive services including coverage for most surgical specialties. Additional features include:

• Orthopedic dedicated operating rooms that are large and well equipped with C-arm X-ray and specialty specific supplies helping to reduce the risk of infection during surgery.
• An orthopedic patient care unit that is staffed by specially trained nurses who are known for efficiency and dedication to the well-being of patient post-op care.
• Support Services Including: Joint Express Replacement Program, Home Care, Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation.

Additional privileging will be required at our long-term acute care hospital located less than five miles from McLaren Bay Region. McLaren Bay Special Care is a 31-bed long-term acute care hospital specializing in the care and treatment of patients with complex medical needs that requires lengths of stay greater than 25 days. The experienced staff are highly trained and use a team approach to provide intensive, individualized treatment. The hospital is licensed by the Michigan Department of Community Health and is accredited by The Joint Commission.
