Opportunity:

Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (days) or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (nights)
• Day/night rotation will not occur more than weekly
• Night shift nurses are first to float when needed
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6
• 30-bed medical surgical unit
• Care for patients with total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedures, abdominal surgery, bariatrics, and medical overflow
• Experience with post-operative care, early ambulation, hemo/hemovacs, JP drains, and colostomies
• Manage occasional heparin drips, PCA pumps, and TPN
• Float to medical and telemetry units as needed
• Bedside shift report required
• Required certification: BLS
• Epic charting system used
• BSN not required
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Surgical experience preferred but first-time travelers accepted
• Maximum 4 shift cancellations per 13-week contract
