Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Charlotte, NC 28262
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing job
• Unit: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum (LDRP)
• Facility Size: 130 licensed beds, 29-bed LDRP unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Assignment Duration: 9 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/3/2025)
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue or hospital-issued
• Free Parking
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1780 - $1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery/Postpartum (LDRP) experience
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM certifications required
• NCC-EFM or RNC-OB certification preferred
• Proficient in all aspects of LDRP patient care, including circulating C-sections, newborn care (heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring), and lactation support
• Willingness to float within the Charlotte region as needed
• First-time travel nurses not accepted

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients in a busy LDRP unit
• Monitor and manage high-risk obstetric diagnoses, including postpartum hemorrhage (PPH), diabetes requiring insulin, PROM, and placenta previa
• Assist with GYN surgical cases, such as hysterectomies
• Circulate for C-sections and provide immediate newborn care
• Perform newborn assessments: heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring, and lactation support
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including OB Techs, CNAs, charge nurses, case managers, physicians, and lactation consultants
• Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and GE Corometrics fetal monitors
• Float to other facilities within the Charlotte area as required, within scope of practice
