Department: ICU | RN License & Certs: IL RN license required to submit; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Unit Details: 8-bed ICU | Ratios 1:2–3 (some lower acuity) Experience: 2+ years ICU required. Must be comfortable running codes. Previous travel highly preferred. Meditech experience a plus. Patient Population: Sepsis, medical/surgical, stroke (TNK), DKA, PNA, ETOH withdrawal, post-cath recovery (radial/femoral). No CVOR, CRRT, or abdominal surgery. Rare IABP handled by core staff. Skills: Titration required (Levo, Neo, Propofol, Fentanyl, Precedex, Insulin, TNK, etc.). Some medication mixing. Unit Support: ICU RNs run codes; team and tele nurses assist. CNA/Unit Secretary support as acuity warrants. Providers: Hospitalist 24/7 (in-house days). Radiation Oncologist not applicable. Monitoring: Tele on unit; RNs read strips. No monitor tech. GE Carescape & Airstrip. Schedule: 12-hour shifts (7a–7:30p / 7p–7:30a). Every other weekend. Holiday rotation. Floating: Required to MedSurg, Tele, ER (full patient load). Dress Code: Any color professional scrubs. Orientation: 2 × 12-hour shifts; documentation support provided. Notes: EICU covers 6 of 8 beds at night (UW Health aligned). Prior FHN Memorial employment must be disclosed for DNU check.
