Candidates must be board certified, licensed in Michigan, and maintain relevant emergency certifications while working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

This facility is part of a comprehensive healthcare system serving the central Michigan region. The emergency department features 18 beds with modern technology including Cerner EHR, managing approximately 20,000 annual patient visits as a provisional Level 4 trauma center.

Job Details:
• Locum tenens coverage needed through 2026 (overnight shifts: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM)• Must be Board Certified in either Emergency Medicine or Family Practice with 2+ years of ER experience• Average patient volume of 54 patients per day with 90% of hospital admissions coming from ED• Work alongside a collaborative team of 4 full-time physicians, 1 PRN physician, 1 full-time midlevel provider, and 2 PRN midlevel providers• Supervise midlevel providers on duty• Respond to house codes, primarily providing airway support with hospitalist and anesthesia backup• Coordinate with hospitalists for admissions and transfers to affiliated facilities• 24-hour availability for CT, X-ray, laboratory services, blood bank, and OR• Cardiology consultant support with EKG interpretation responsibilities• Michigan medical license required - IMLC not accepted• Maintain current ACLS/ATLS/PALS (for non-EM boarded physicians) and BLS certifications• Must complete employee health requirements including vaccines and screenings• Local providers strongly preferred• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
Compensation:
