Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work in Surgical PCU with almost ICU level acuity treating ENT, thoracic, general surgery, and urology patients
• Patient ratios of 1:3-4 (5/6 on days, nights, and weekends)
• Must work every other weekend with 6 weekend shifts per 13-week contract
• Self-scheduling with operational needs considerations
• 48-hour orientation period
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must be proficient in cardiac monitoring, chest tube management, fresh tracheostomies, feeding tube care, epidurals, and insulin drip titration
• Float requirements to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) - refusal to float may result in contract termination
• May be assigned charge nurse responsibilities with training provided
• Teaching facility requiring agreement to precept students
• Call-in policy requires makeup shifts or extension of contract
• First-time travelers accepted
• Two pre-approved time off days allowed
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• License must be in hand prior to start date
• 8 hours of pre-start online modules required
