This locum tenens position seeks a board-certified or eligible radiation oncologist to work in Michigan's Upper Peninsula on a one-week-on, one-week-off schedule. The role involves treating 8-12 patients daily using advanced radiation therapy equipment and systems in a Level II trauma center hospital setting. The physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and nurses, with rare on-call duties and electronic medical record use.
The Radiation Oncology locum tenens opportunity in Michigan-Duration: March December (potential for extension)-Location: Upper Peninsula, MI-Schedule: one week on, one week off-Shift: 7a-5p-Call: Night pager, RARE call (additional income) -Volume: 8-12 patients per day-EMR: Aria and McKesson Paragon-Equipment: Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator with CBCT, Gating, 120 leaf MLC, 6D couch. AlignRT Patient Surface Monitoring System. Toshiba Large Bore CT scanner with 4D imaging capabilities. Eclipse treatment planning system IMRT, RapidArc, SBRT, MLC-based intracranial SRS-Support: 2 board certified physicists, 2 board certified dosimetrists, 5 board certified radiation therapists, 2 RNs, and an office liaison.-Affiliated Hospital: Level II trauma center, 300 bed facility-Required: Board certified or board eligible with Compact or Michigan license
