Responsibilities: Perform a variety of image-guided minimally invasive procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of adult patients across various conditions. Utilize fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT guidance for procedures such as biopsies, vascular interventions, drain placements, and pain management procedures. Collaborate with referring physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients. Interpret complex imaging studies and accurately document procedures within the EPIC electronic medical record system (EMR) and PACS picture archiving and communication system. Maintain a high level of patient care and safety throughout all procedures. Respond to emergent interventional radiology needs within the hospital setting. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Ohio (OH) medical license is required. Board certification in Interventional Radiology is mandatory. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is mandatory. Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical interventional radiology setting is preferred. Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in interventional radiology procedures. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment. The facility manages a high patient volume with approximately 80,000 annual emergency room visits. The call schedule requires coverage 7 days per week, ensuring continuous patient care. The practice utilizes a full EPIC and PACS system for documentation and image management. The typical daily caseload ranges between 15-25 procedures, focusing on general interventional radiology with a strong emphasis on biopsy and cancer-related procedures.
