Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant, North Carolina - Full-Time Locums
Join a collaborative Orthopedics team in North Carolina providing inpatient and OR support alongside experienced surgeons.
Highlights
- Ongoing full-time locum opportunity
- Assist in OR with cases like hand, foot, joints, and more
- Rounding, ED coverage, and call with surgeon
- Supportive team of 6 surgeons and 2-3 APPs
Practice Setting
- Inpatient orthopedic care
- 222-bed acute care hospital
- Daily rounding, ED consults, and surgical assists
- Epic EMR system
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
- Weekly call rotation with assigned surgeon
- Coverage needed until permanent hire is made
Cases and Procedures
- Assist in OR: joints, trauma, foot/ankle, ACLs, rotator cuffs
- Daily census: 4-12 patients
- Average OR volume: 5 cases/day
Requirements
- Physician Assistant with at least 2 years of ortho experience
- Board Certified or Eligible
- Active North Carolina license
- BLS and DEA required
